Meeting for the program leaders for »Circus patientus«, Eva Škofič Maurer (SI)
May 31 @ 14:00 - 15:30
Eva Škofič Maurer
Eva Škofič – Maurer was only 15 years old when her love for the circus arts led her to enrol into Moscow state school of circus and variety arts.
With the wish of studying the craft that would prepare her to delve into various worlds of stage artistry on the one hand and at the same time explore the power of humoristic approach at the base of evoking emotions and feeling, she enrolled into clowning studies. After graduating, she continued her studies at the Russian state institute of performing arts in St. Petersburg where she additionally graduated as a theatre director.
After returning to Slovenia Eva Škofič-Maurer mostly worked as an author and performer of radio and television shows. She was active in music, literary and theatre fields; she released a music album a series of fairy tales as well as picture books for children. She has performed at Slovenian and International festivals with her work being recognized and sometimes awarded. After Eva Škofič-Maurer founded Red noses hospital clowns Association Slovenia in 2004, her creative path has been tightly interconnected with the work at the association. While the public knows her as the first graduated clowness in Slovenia and a
founder/artistic director of the association, the children know her by the clowning performances.
The association is where she invests most of her creative force to this day as an ambassador and a clowness. Her love for the circus has found home in a program called “Delamo cirkus” (Circus Patientus).
